(or Streetless & Streetness) is a question that a group of designers pose to the users of El Muiz street. Through a workshop organized by Rhimal Design a group of young designers addressed the problem of the Egyptian street and with it other communal problems varying from urban to social, environmental and cultural. Their critical views are expressed through a number of installations and urban interventions that are exhibited along El Muiz Street during the +20 design week. These installations present a broader perspective of Egypt through the vision of young designers. ‘Streetless Streetness’ is a vital initiative aiming to highlight the role of design in Egypt, as not just a commercial action, but rather as a global movement. Also to create awareness of the presence of the emerging design scene in Egypt.
